New clients will need a consultation to assess skin and so we can discuss suitability for treatment.

Waxing

What is LYCON wax and what are the benefits?

Formulated with the finest natural resins, bees wax and sensuous aromatherapy, LYCON delivers superior results, removing stubborn hair as short as 1mm like no other. At the same time, LYCON low temperature, super pliable and gentle waxes, provide a nurturing and skin conditioning treatment for extra client comfort, even on the most sensitive skins.

Types of wax

Bikini wax: outside of the knicker line as it sits (in normal knickers, not thong)
Extended bikini: slightly higher and more hair removed underneath
Brazilian: classic landing strip left, all other hit removed including bottom area
Hollywood: all hair removed

Lycon Hot Wax: Used on Sensitive areas such as bikini Area, Eyebrows, Face & Underarms
Cirepil Cristal Océan: Rosin and fragrance free, warm wax used on larger areas of the body

Waxing etiquette

Please arrive fresh & clean for your bikini waxing appointment. Wipes and a towel will be provided for you to use free of charge. We recommend that you bring a spare, clean pair of knickers (thongs can irritate the newly waxed area) to put on after your treatment for hygiene reasons. We are happy to provide a bikini wax whilst you are on our period but ask that you wear a clean tampon during the treatment (can be provided).

Do men wax?

Absolutely! Exactly the same rules apply for Men. Exfoliating the night before will help your treatment and bringing a clean T- shirt or shirt to put on after your treatment for hygiene reasons

It's my first wax, I'm so nervous!

Don’t be nervous or embarrassed! I have seen them one I have seen them all, and feeling like this will leave you flustered which will lead to you getting warm and being uncomfortable during your treatment. It’s cool, knickers off, up on the bed, we will be far to busy chatting  and it will all be over in no time.

What if I am a shaver?

If you have shaved in between waxes or have used depilatory creams or razors up until the point you decide to wax, please be advised that generally, three weeks growth is the minimum. Trying to wax before this can result in an uneven wax as hair grows in three cycles, and we want to ideally catch it all together. I actually recommend 4-6 weeks if you’ve been shaving to allow the very shortest of hairs to be a decent length but I understand this can be difficult, so minimum of three.

Will it be painful?

It's never going to be pain free but with Lycon you have picked the best wax to minimise the pain. To help with the pain, you can take ibuprofen no less than 30 minutes before.

Can I do anything to help the treatment?

Regularly exfoliating the area will help keep the hair follicles clear and prevent ingrown hairs and dead skin build up. exfoliating two days  before your wax will ensure a better result.

Can I wax if I'm pregnant?

It is completely safe to wax during pregnancy, please just bear in mind that for the first trimester at least, you are generally more sensitive. Let me know so i can book some extra time for you
